ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - Scattered rain and storms that developed earlier this evening is gradually diminishing. The forecast is mostly dry after midnight through the Monday morning commute. Areas of low clouds and fog may developed; especially in areas that got rained on Sunday.

Monday begins like the past several days; mild! Temperatures bottom-out in the upper 60s and lower 70s in many neighborhoods before 8 a.m. Temperatures average between 70° and 73° inside the Perimeter. Upper 80s and lower 90s rule the Monday afternoon forecast. It’ll feel a bit hotter with the mugginess factored in.

Once again, widely scattered showers and thunderstorms bubble up in the afternoon heat.

Wetter weather is possible later in the week...

Believe it or not, a ‘cool front’ is going to sneak into the southeast late in the workweek. The front is forecast to interact with summer moisture levels and produce more showers and thunderstorms. The chance of rain should peak Thursday and gradually subside into the weekend.

Have a great rest of your weekend,
