While minority-owned businesses – particularly those owned by women – are the fastest growing businesses, they make up only 6 percent of annual revenue.

Leadership coach and consultant Monica McCoy is working to close that gap – by helping business-owners create strategic plans to scale their businesses and secure the revenue.

McCoy recently held the Global Supplier Diversity Conference, an all-day workshop that featured some of metro Atlanta’s top corporate leaders, including Nzinga Shaw, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, and Steve Bucherati of The Bucherati Group.

CBS46 anchor Karyn Greer emceed this inaugural event, and explains why more conferences like these are needed.
