The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office just released the autopsy report for 27-year-old Erica Beaubrun [Warning: Graphic Details] who died in June after undergoing cosmetic surgery at Opulence Aesthetic Medicine in Kennesaw.
Beaubrun's family spoke exclusively to CBS Atlanta News and wanted to know why it took the medical office so long to call 911 after Beaubrun went into cardiac arrest.
The police report says Beaubrun went into cardiac arrest during a buttocks reduction performed by Dr. Nedra Dodds. First responders found her lying in a pool of blood and according to medical records she was in a state of cardiac arrest for 22 minutes before 911 was called.
Dodds said in a sit-down interview with CBS Atlanta News that she called 911 sooner.
"At the exact same time you need to recognize that this facility and the staff and medical personnel have the ability to stabilize a patient, so again the information you have is completely inaccurate."
