Police have identified the body of Moses Cooper as the man found near the entrance to a condominium building in northeast Atlanta early Wednesday morning.

The body of the 50 year-old was discovered on the 800 block of Peachtree Street by a passerby around 2 a.m.

Police tell CBS46 News that officers were responding to a 911 call when the passerby flagged them down and alerted them to the body. A medical examiner says the man died from blunt force trauma after possibly being beaten to death.

Officers also say they found bloody footprints at the scene.

"At this point, we have no witnesses. We are waiting to check video footage in the area. Fortunately for us, there are cameras that we will be checking the footage for," says Atlanta homicide commander, Lieutenant Andrea Webster.

Police have released surveillance video showing two men they believe to be persons of interest in the case.

Robert Ordona lives in in the condos that overlook the sidewalk. He just moved here two weeks ago from San Fransisco.

"So, we moved here and we thought, 'Oh, it's a new start and it seems safer,' and then all of the sudden something like this happens," says Ordona.
