Duluth, Ga (CBS46) Police have identified Samuel Songsy, 23, as a suspect connected to an altercation that lead to the deadly shooting at Prime Bar and Grill that left two people dead on Saturday.
A warrant for Songsy's arrest is for aggravated assault. Police say they want to speak with him in relation to the incident.
Victoria Centeno was working at the Prime Bar and Grill when she said two separate fights broke out. She said her manager, 47-year0old James Kim asked those involved to leave the bar.
"He took them outside and then all of a sudden. I guess he was shot and he came running back inside and he was having trouble breathing," explained Centeno.
Kim would later die at a hospital. Police said he was caught in the crossfire.
The second victim, 26-year-old Malik Jett, was shot to death outside the bar. Police say it is unclear whether he was involved in the fighting.
After news of Kim's death, mourners made their way to the bar to pay their respects.
"I was hoping it's not true but since you guys are out here, I guess it is true," said Kim's friend Marvin Santiago.
Santiago told reporter Ashley Thompson that Kim's death is a big loss for Gwinnett's Asian community.
"Everybody knows him in Gwinnett and all the, especially young Korean people. Everybody knew him."
Gwinnett County Police say they are familiar with bar.
"It's a small establishment and we've been here before," said Det. Samantha Flynn. "There's an extended history of fights and similar incidents that you would expect at a bar at this location."
Police are actively investigating the incident as they work to determine what lead up to the incident.
