A freeze warning is in effect for several metro Atlanta counties as temperatures plummeted into the 20s in some areas overnight.

The warning remains in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

The following counties are under the freeze warning:

Dade-Walker-Catoosa-Whitfield-Murray-Chattooga-Gordon-Floyd-Bartow-Cherokee-Forsyth-Hall-Polk-Paulding-Cobb-Haralson-Carroll and Douglas counties. CBS46 News 7 Day ForecastOtherwise on Thursday, Expect sunny skies but it will be breezy. High temperatures will reach into the mid to upper 50s.

Friday: Partly cloudy skies. High temperatures in the low 60s.

Saturday: Mostly Cloudy. A 30% Chance of showers - mainly in far North Georgia. Highs near 70.
