Funeral held for man shot, killed by DeKalb County police officer

Anthony Hill

Funeral services were held in South Carolina on Sunday for an unarmed man killed by a DeKalb County police officer.

Anthony Hill was shot and killed Monday at the Heights of Chamblee apartment complex.

Investigators said Hill, who was on medication for psychological problems, was naked and, according to police, charged Officer Robert Olsen.

Hill's death has sparked several protests, including one on Saturday where dozens of people took to the streets of DeKalb County near the apartment complex where Hill was killed.

"We aren't here to go against the police. But we are out here fighting for justice for Anthony Hill," said one protester.

"He was naked, he was obviously unarmed, he's bipolar. He was having an incident and the first response they do is shoot him two times and kill him. There were plenty of other things that could have been done other than a young man's life being stolen," said another protester.

Police said six people were arrested during the protest. The officer is on leave during the investigation.
