Grocery store chains ALDI and Kroger have announced a voluntary recall of five different varieties of apples due to possible listeria contamination.

The apples were sold in ALDI locations in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, South Carolina and North Carolina. The apples were also sold to the company's partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.

The recalled products are listed below: Fuji Apples, 3 lb. bag, UPC code: 033383087139 Gala Apples, 3 lb. bag, UPC code: 033383086897 Golden Apples, 3 lb. bag, UPC code: 033383081175 Honeycrisp Apples, 2 lb. bag, UPC code: 079954000015 Honeycrisp Apples, unpackaged, PLU sticker: 3283 The Kroger recall affects apples sold in stores in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Ohio, Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.

The affected products are listed below: Michigan apples-Fuji, Large size bag; PLU #4131 Michigan apples- Fuji, Lunch box size; PLU #4132 Michigan apples- Gala, lunch box size; PLU #4129 Michigan apples- Fuji (Jack Brown Produce), 5 lb mesh bag Fresk Pak fruit tray w/ cheese snack (including apple slices) 6.9 oz. sizeNo illnesses have been reported and no other products sold at the stores are under the recall.

Customers who have purchased the product can return it to the store for a full refund.
