A Suwanee teenager is in jail after authorities became aware of a threat that alerted students at Lambert High School.

Joshua Zelonka, 18, was taken into custody after posting threatening Snapchat. Authorities have not released what the exact threat was, however, they were able to determine the teen did not have any means of going through with the threat.

He is charged with disrupting a public school.

A spokesperson with Forsyth County released the following statement:

"The student who initiated the rumor is off campus and in police custody; he will receive an appropriate disciplinary consequence. The student's statement was not substantiated; however, we take these situations extremely seriously. We would like to take this opportunity to thank students, staff, and members of the community who shared information with us bringing a very quick resolution."
