Animals lovers rejoice! Lifeline Animal Project is waiving adoption fees August 18.

The "Clear the Shelter" event hopes to attract hundreds of adopters by waiving adoption fees for all dogs over 25 lbs and all cats. Each adopted animal will receive free spray/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.

“We are currently housing over 1,100 homeless dogs and cats at our DeKalb and Fulton County shelters, so adoptions are crucial to saving lives,” says LifeLine spokesperson Karen Hirsch. “Adopting a pet not only saves the life of that pet, but also makes space for another homeless animal to take its place, so adopters can feel good about essentially saving two lives.”
