Students and adults are working together to help those in need in Atlanta.
MAP, known as the Metro Atlanta Project, was created by Northside United Methodist Church and aims to allow volunteers to do mission work locally rather than abroad.
Volunteers are currently working on 11 projects which includes fixing up houses for those who can't afford it.
CBS46 reporter Vince Sims was in the Grove Park area Thursday interviewing volunteers.
“They don’t have the ability to do as much and don’t have as many resources available to them so we just try to provide those resources and help out any way we can,” said Patrick Hannan, church member and volunteer.
