It couldn't have been worse timing for a Dekalb County middle school, with record high temperatures, the air conditioning at Miller Grove stopped working.
According to historical data, the last time it was 91 degrees on May 14 was in 1881.
Parents say the problem started last week but school district spokespeople say it began Monday. Either way, students and employees of Miller Grove Middle School definitely endured at least one day of sweltering heat.
Students described being taken out of their classrooms to sit in hallways or outside to escape the oppressive air.
Official spokespeople claim the air conditioning was fixed by Monday afternoon.
