Demetrice Allen

CITY OF SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (CBS46) – Demetrice Allen was last seen having fun with his friends on December 6th at a Lounge in East Atlanta Village. His family and friends became concerned when they did not hear from him and reported him missing on December 8th.

Clayton County police officers responded to the area of I-285 East near Old Dixie Highway to investigate a vehicle accident with injuries. This accident involved multiple vehicles on December 7th.  The preliminary investigation determined Demetrice Allen to be the at-fault driver, although he was unable to be identified at the time of the accident.

Investigators say Allen’s injuries were severe but did not appear to be life-threatening. He was alert, conscious, and combative when he was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Due to his condition at the accident scene, officers were unable to identify him. Police say the 30-year-old succumbed to his injuries.

Because Allen’s body was not identified at the hospital, staff subsequently contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, who took custody of Mr. Allen’s body. Police say specific details about the crash are still being investigated at this time.
