Police: Woman allegedly raped by fake Uber driver

Investigators have arrested eight alleged gang members they say were involved in several shootings.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department says the offenders have been tied to six of the 14 gang-related shooting that have occurred in 2018.

Below is a list of the people arrested: Terique Eberhart (currently has active warrants) Jarvious Clarke (issued a $12,500 bond, still incarcerated) Montavious Crew (released on $9,000 bond) Damari Jones ($9,000 bond set, still incarcerated) Raydreone Howard (currently has active warrants) Jamir James (released on $3,000) Miquan Pittard (house arrest with monitor) Ladaryn Thrasher ($2,500 bind set, still incarcerated)They continue to work on identifying connections in the remaining shootings. Investigators also believe that more individuals could be involved and will continue their efforts to identify them. Additionally, firearms have been seized as evidence in these arrests.

These incidents have primarily involved members and associates of local Bloods and Crips criminal street gangs. Two individuals have been shot during these shootings, property has been damaged, and human life has been placed at risk.

Several suspects have bonded out. ACCPD will continue to work hard and utilize all resources necessary to hold those accountable who indiscriminately place human life at risk.
