Police in Gwinnett County searching for armed serial robber

Police in Gwinnett County are searching for an armed serial robber accused of holding up three businesses in Norcross and Lilburn within three weeks.

The first robbery occurred on August 6, at the Spy Insurance on Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

CBS46 talked to the victim who said, the suspect attacked her before stealing a stack of cash.

“He grabbed me from my wrist and pushed me …, “ said Rosa Martinez.

She told him to take whatever he wanted.

Martinez said he snatched $140 that was previously left on her desk by a policy holding customer.

Surveillance cameras caught the suspect, when he robbed Global Insurance in Lilburn on August 14.

They said he took about $400.

Gwinnett police said on on August 25, at around 6:15pm, the suspect robbed another local business in unincorporated Norcross. This recent robbery occurred at the Intermex Wire Transfer located at 4771 Britt Road, just a short distance away from Spy Insurance.

In both robberies, the suspect confronts a female employee and demands money. He wears a bandana around his face while talking to the employee. He alludes to the victims that he has a weapon but none is seen. After taking cash, the suspect walks out of the business.

Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
