We went looking for some of the best pizza in the city of Atlanta this week and we found it in Little 5 Points.

We’re at Savage Pizza, and this place is full of character and it fits the community as well.

Take a look at all of the superheroes and comics they have at the restaurant. It certainly grabs your attention, but you know what people love here, they love the pie.

Yeah, they make some delicious dishes we’re going to tell you about in just a moment. You’re going to have to stick around for that, but first here’s this week’s best and worst scores.

A popular Atlanta restaurant failed to make the grade this week.

“Can you tell me how this happened?” we asked.

“I can’t really,” Maggiano’s General Manager Charles Shuler said. “Unfortunately I have to refer you to our public relations department.”

Maggiano’s on Ashford Dunwoody Road near Perimeter Mall failed a surprise inspection with 66 points and a “U” for unsatisfactory.

The report said chuck roast was at an unsafe temperature, plus one employee handled raw chicken, then sprinkled salt using contaminated gloves. Also, an employee handled dirty dishes, then clean dishes, without changing gloves.

“Don’t you guys know you’ve got to change out the gloves?” we asked.

“I certainly understand your concern,” Shuler said. “But I would have to refer you to our public relations department.”

Wondering how a PR department could possibly understand food safety, we kept pressing for an explanation.

“I could also point out that our current score up there on the wall is a 95 right now,” Shuler said.

“So you received a 95 on a follow up inspection?” we asked.

“Correct,” Shuler said.

A spokesperson sent CBS46 the following statement: We were disappointed with the grade we received from our recent health inspection on April 12. However, I'm happy to share that we took quick, corrective action and partnered with the health department to thoroughly address all concerns and passed our re-inspection on April 25 with an A. We have a good inspection history at this restaurant and took this isolated incident seriously because the health and safety of our Guests and Teammates is our top priority. We maintain strict standards of quality, safety and cleanliness in our restaurants and we have a robust food safety program in place to ensure we meet both our strict standards and regulatory requirements. Now to some good scores:

In Fulton County, Chops on Peachtree Road in Buckhead scored 92 points and an “A”.

In Gwinnett County, Opa! Athens Kouzzina on Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville received a 94.

And in Cobb County, Moxie Burger on Village Parkway in Marietta picked up a 96.

Back at Savage Pizza in Little 5 Points. They received a perfect 100 on their health inspection score and they’re the winner of this week’s Golden Spatula Award.
