Some students were taken to the hospital after they sustained minor injuries during a school bus accident in Atlanta Wednesday.

The accident occurred on Campbellton Road SW and Childress Drive SW.

The school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle.

A spokesperson with Atlanta Public Schools identified the bus as No. 711 from Therrell High School, adding that 13 students were on the bus.

In addition to the students who sustained minor injuries, the school bus driver complained of leg pain, according to a spokesperson with the Atlanta Police Department.

The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to the police spokesperson. They were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The district spokesperson says all students were either taken home on another bus or picked up by their parents.
