Two people have been arrested after an event was thrown without a permit Sunday afternoon in South Fulton.

Police say an event held in the 3200 block of Butner Road caused major traffic delays on Camp Creek Parkway and nearly three miles on Butner Road.

According to police, the event was an unauthorized rodeo and concert.

The city's ordinance requires event organizers to secure a permit for special events and for the sale of alcohol.

Robert Figuero and Jorge Maciel were both arrested for violating that ordinance.

Police Chief Keith Meadows issued the following statement:The South Fulton Police Department received a number of complaints regarding this incident and we are proud of how our men and women responded to resolve this matter quickly. This is another example of how an effective partnership between the community and law enforcement working together can ensure South Fulton is a safer, stronger city.Copyright 2018 WGCL-TV (Meredith Corporation).
