(Meredith) - A Wisconsin man who claimed the $768 million Powerball prize last month said he felt like "giving back" when he surprised a random woman on Mother's Day.
Manuel Franco, 24, was visiting a Target store near Chicago on Sunday when he approached Nicole Domitro, who was looking for Pull-Ups.
"He said, 'I'm Manuel Franco. I was the Powerball winner in Milwaukee, and I wanted to give you this gift of $200 for Target,'" Domitro told WISN. "He was very kind."
Franco apparently tried to give other shoppers the same gift card, but had a hard time convincing people that he was being serious.
"He said he'd offered it to other people who refused it because they thought he was trying to scam them," said Domitro
Though the mom appreciated Franco's good deed, she and her husband have decided to pay it forward.
"We're actually going to be gifting it to another family who we think could benefit from it," she said. "They have a baby coming, and we think it would be a very cool blessing for their family."
