The Georgia State Panthers lost their first home game of the year Thursday night after they were crushed at home by the Arkansas State Red Wolves 51-35 in a Sun Belt Conference showdown.

Red Wolves quarterback Justice Hansen finished with 257 yards passing and three touchdowns and running back Marcel Murray gained 115 yards and rushed for a touchdown as ASU improved to 4-3 on the year. Hansen also rushed for two touchdowns.

Dan Ellington led the Panther attack, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns but it wasn't enough as GSU fell to 2-5 on the year. 

The Panthers had won their previous two games at home and was hoping to scratch back to the .500 mark.

Georgia State will next play at Coastal Carolina on Saturday, 10/27 at 2 p.m. The Panthers have yet to win a road game this season.
