For most of the last decade, Thomas has been at NBC News and MSNBC in New York.

You may have seen him anchoring MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts or filling in on The Today Show or NBC Nightly News. Prior to NBC, Thomas was based in Los Angeles, anchoring and reporting for CBS News and The Insider/Entertainment Tonight.

The move to Atlanta is a homecoming for Thomas as he spent years anchoring at CNN and knows the city and Metro area well.

Originally from Baltimore, Thomas is a graduate of McDaniel College with a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism and has worked in markets including Portsmouth VA, Ft. Myers, Lincoln NE and San Diego.

Thomas is the recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Documentary and a national Emmy award while at NBC for Outstanding Live Coverage of the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. He’s also won the Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award and the Vito Russo GLAAD Award.
