After a sweltering weekend, more 90s are expected this week but it comes with a higher chance for rain and storms.

Monday forecast

Highs in the low to mid 90s. Scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms likely. Gusty winds, lightning, and small hail are possible within the strongest storms.

  • Forecast high: 94°
  • Normal high: 89°
  • Rain chance: 60%

What you need to know

There is an increasing risk of afternoon t-storms in the early to middle part of this week. As the rain chances go up, temperatures will start to go down.

We are closely watching an area in the Atlantic Ocean that has a 50% chance of developing into our next named storm in the next 5 days. If it does become a tropical storm, it will be Tropical Storm Josephine.
